Welcome to MyMoodBetter. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information remains private. This Privacy Policy explains how our app handles your data.

2. Data Collection

We do NOT collect any personal data. Specifically:

• We do NOT collect your name, email, or any identifying information on our servers
• We do NOT track your usage or behavior
• We do NOT use analytics or tracking tools
• We do NOT share any data with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes
• We do NOT have access to your journal entries

Google Drive Backup (optional): If you choose to use the Google Drive Backup feature, we access your Google account email address solely to display it within the app. Your journal data is uploaded directly to your personal Google Drive app-private folder (appDataFolder), which is accessible only by you and not visible to other apps or to us.

3. Data Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device only. This includes:

• Your daily mood entries
• Your reflection notes
• Your app settings and preferences

Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to use the Google Drive Backup feature. When enabled, your journal data is stored in your personal Google Drive appDataFolder — a private storage area accessible only by you and not visible to other apps or to us. This feature is entirely optional and free.

4. Permissions

MyMoodBetter requests the following permissions:

• Notifications: To send you daily reminders to log your entries (optional, can be disabled)
• Local Storage: To save your entries on your device
• Google Account access (optional): To authenticate with Google Drive for the backup feature. We only request access to app-private Drive storage (appDataFolder) — not your full Google Drive or any other Google data.

We do NOT request access to your camera, contacts, location, or any other sensitive data.

5. Third-Party Services

MyMoodBetter does not use any third-party services for analytics, advertising, or data collection.

Google Sign-In and Google Drive (optional): The Google Drive Backup feature uses Google Sign-In for authentication and Google Drive's appDataFolder for storage. This is entirely opt-in and only activated when you tap "Connect Google Drive" in Settings. Your use of Google services is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your Google credentials — authentication is handled entirely by Google.

6. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends on your device's security measures (passcode, biometric authentication, etc.). We recommend:

• Using a strong device passcode
• Enabling device encryption
• Keeping your device's operating system up to date

7. Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete individual entries at any time within the app
• Clear all data from the Settings menu
• Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all local data

8. Children's Privacy

MyMoodBetter does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. The app can be safely used by all ages.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
